Setting up the Pleased MCP

Pleased MCP connects an AI assistant to your workspace. You add the Pleased MCP endpoint in the assistant. Once it is connected, the assistant can take any action that user can take in the Pleased interface.

Billing and subscription updates are the exception. The assistant cannot change them.

Before you begin

You need:

A Pleased admin user to connect with. The assistant acts as this person, and only with their permissions.
An AI client that can connect to a remote MCP server, such as Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT.

The Pleased MCP endpoint URL.

Step 1 - Add the Pleased endpoint

Open the MCP or connectors settings in your AI client.
Add a remote server.
Paste the Pleased MCP endpoint URL.
Save.

If the client asks you to sign in, use the Pleased account you want the assistant to act as.

The assistant then works as that account. It follows the same role, groups and brands. It cannot do something that account cannot do in Pleased.

Claude AI

For Individual Tiers (Free, Pro, & Max Plans) anyone can add a custom connector immediately

Step 1: Open Claude and navigate to Customize > Connectors.
Step 2: Click + Add and select Add custom connector.
Step 3: Enter a display name and paste the Pleased MCP URL.
Step 4: Sign in with your Pleased.com login details
Step 6: Click Add to complete the configuration.

Note: Free accounts can only have one active custom connector at a time, while Pro and Max plans allow multiple

For Team & Enterprise Plans

These plans enforce strict corporate data governance. As a result, adding a custom connector is split into two distinct roles.

The Owner / Primary Owner's Job (Workspace Authorization)

An administrator must first whitelist and configure the data for the entire organization. Regular team members cannot do this.

Step 1: Go to Organization settings > Connectors.
Step 2: Click Add, hover over Custom, and select Web.
Step 3: Paste the Pleased MCP URL
Step 4: Set the Authentication rules for the workforce (Sign in now, Sign in when needed, or No sign in).
Step 6: Click Add to publish it to the company library.

The Team Member's Job (Individual Activation)

Once the owner has completed,the connector is securely available to the rest of the company, but it will not touch anyone's personal workspace until they activate it manually.

Step 1: Navigate to Customize > Connectors.
Step 2: Find the Pleased connector in the directory list
Step 3: Click Connect to login with your Pleased.com details and grant Claude permission to use the tool in your chats.

ChatGPT

View requirements to connect a custom MCP service with ChatGPT

Go to ChatGPT Plugins
Select the + button, then Add custom MCP server.
Enter a name e.g. Pleased.com
Under Connection, paste the Pleased MCP server URL
Tick I understand I want to continue
Select Create plugin
Select Connect to the name of the MCP you gave in step 3
Complete SIgn in

Step 2 - Confirm the connection

Start a new conversation in the AI client.
Ask it to do something small you can already do in Pleased, such as finding one of your open tickets.
Check the result in Pleased.

When that matches what you see in the product, the endpoint is connected.

What the assistant can do

It can take any action you can take in the Pleased interface. If you can open a page and complete a task there, the assistant can complete that task too.

That covers the helpdesk, live chat, voice, the knowledge base, analytics and the workspace settings your role can open. An action hidden from you in Pleased is hidden from the assistant as well.

What it cannot do

Billing updates invoices, payment method, billing details

Subscription updates - plan changes, buying seats

Those changes are made in the billing portal. Administrators open it from Settings > Billing, where the portal is enabled for the workspace.

Troubleshooting

The assistant cannot connect

Check that the endpoint URL was pasted exactly, that the client is set to a remote MCP server, and that you finished signing in.

An action fails that you can do yourself in Pleased

Confirm you are signed in as the same user, and that you are looking at the same brand. The assistant cannot go beyond the users role you are logged in with.

The assistant will not change the plan, seats or payment details. That is expected. Billing and subscription updates are not available through Pleased MCP.
